Esther was told today that in one of the classes in Jean-Baptiste’s school, out of 26 children, 13 are from divorced families. Let’s pray.

CAEF — church leaders day in Rennes
Our church here belongs to a denomination called CAEF. They have regional days from time to time for church leaders to meet up and discuss. We have one in Rennes today. I’ll be going with the other Emmanuel, and we’ll be back quite late tonight.
The themes for discussion are Baptism and the Lord’s supper. We will focus on the practical aspects of these ordinances. that should be interested. It will be my first meeting with other church leaders, so I’ll sit and listen, trying to keep quiet.
Amazing grace — Mars Hill Church
Amazing grace! how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!
Thro’ many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
‘Tis grace has brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me;
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow;
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun.
More car problems
The car went back to the garage this week. It was behaving strangely, and rather that wait until it was too late, I went to the garage on Tuesday to ask them what it could be. The mechanic diagnosed a problem with the crankshaft pulley, and showed me it was very worn. He didn’t have a car to lend me on Tuesday, so I asked if I could bring it back another day. I took it on Thursday, and they did the job in the day. It seems to be smoother to drive now. We’re just praying that we can now keep the car for a while when we can save money for the next one. Thanks to all those who prayed for us.
