We took the opportunity to have a ride on Blaenau Ffestiniog Railway. After the train trip, we went to visit the slate mine in Blaenau Ffestiniog. The staff was quite thrilled we spoke Welsh. On the first part of the visit, our guide did everything in English for the other people in the group and Welsh for us (the children don&#8217;t speak English).
