We had problems with the clutch in September, and we had it replaced by a new one. To my surprise, the clutch gave way again this afternoon as I was going out of a car park. The symptoms were different, so I suppose it is another problem than the previous one. I was able to park it and phoned Esther to tell her that she would have to go and fetch Jean-Baptiste to school. The smart phone was put to use and I googled to find the number of the garage. I had the car towed fairly quickly (it is a small town, and the garage wasn’t too far). I had a lift back and was able to catch up with Esther and the boys walking home from school.<\/p>\n
The garage will let us know what the problem is tomorrow morning. We’ll probably have to repair it since we don’t have the money to buy another car. Ideally, if we could have this one until the autumn or next winter, then we might be able to consider buying something. We’ll see.<\/p>\n
