Another visit to the stadium

I had never been to a football game in my life until a few weeks ago when Jean-Baptiste’s football club got some invitations for the game against Bastia (read more about that game here, here and here). Some of you will think it is a shame and that I had never lived until then. But be reassured dear readers.

I have now been TWICE. Yes I know, this sounds crazy. TWICE in a row. I must be getting mad. But here is the background to the story: Jean-Baptiste had got a free ticket for yesterday’s game against Sedan. So I bought a half price ticket for Jean-Baptiste and we went to the Roudourou. There was a good atmosphere, lot of people around, but we were disappointed to see En avant Guingamp lose 3-1. They had many opportunities, but failed to score while Sedan had less opportunities, but scored.

One of my friends told me recently he was glad I was getting into football. I don’t think I am, I still have no interest in watching football on television (unless France is in the final of the world cup, and even then it is not out of interest for the sport itself). I don’t follow the big teams either. I like the atmosphere in the local stadium though. It is family friendly, and I have seen many children around. But the best part is to have a night out with my son.
